Among other things, we ride through the region of Kolkúo. This region is very famous for the old breeding line, from which many of our great Icelandic horses descend. The landscape there is beautiful and you have a great view of the Ocean. Hofsos, Kolbeinsdalur, Hólar.

Horse riding and horse massage

In cooperation with Merle Storm, accredited Zepo Ostheopatin/Physiotherapist and Cranio Sacral Therapist, we have a slightly different program: staying overnight, riding and exploring the beautiful Skagafjörður with us,and learning more about the exciting topic of "horse massage".

Horse round up in September/October

Traditionally, every year the horse round up takes place, the so-called Laufskálarétt. The horses are drived from Kolbeinvalley which is situated about 30 km far from our farm Helluland. We are glad to offer you the possibility to take part in this event and will make you a special offer.

Riding holidays in Skagafjörður

The Skagafjörður is not only great to go riding, but shows many natural wonders and points of interests. With our riding holiday program we want to invite you, to combine riding and sightseeing, without renting an own car. Our program contains daily riding tours as well as trips to interessting locations such as the Torfhausmueseum Glaumbær, Hólar und Hofsos as well as the natural hot pot  Grettislaug. A day trip to  Akureyri is included.
